Stuffed Dates

I love eating dates. They are the perfect pick-me-up snack during the day. My favorite way to eat them? Stuffed!

Dates are full of magnesium and potassium, which are amazing at lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. 

Dates are also very high in fiber, which is great for heart health and keeping you on a regular schedule for visiting the loo.

Dates are also very high in many different vitamins and minerals. One of these is iron, so I love eating these chewy delights around that time of the month.

Dates are an awesome pre- or post-workout snack due to the high carbohydrates for refueling your muscles and energy level. Dates are will keep your blood sugar level stable, as well.

Three of these dates are stuffed with goat cheese. One is topped with pepitas (pumpkin seeds), pomegranate seeds, and slivered almonds. The other three are stuffed with different nut butters. One with Barney’s Vanilla + Espresso Almond Butter. One with Trader Joe’s Chia Seed + Flax Seed Crunchy Peanut Butter. And lastly, one is stuffed with Justin’s Honey Almond Butter and topped with unsweetened coconut flakes. SO STINKING DELISH! The perfect #cleaneating dessert 🙂
