U.S. Virgin Islands

I think I said to Sam, “Let’s move here” about 2947439x while in the U.S. Virgin Islands. U.S. territory, in the Caribbean, fresh fish for every meal… I mean, c’mon. Who wouldn’t want to move there? Plus, you know what they say – happy wife, happy life. Needless to say, we’re moving in the Fall.

Just kidding 😉

We had so much fun exploring the islands! The minute we walked off of the plane, we got fresh coconuts, devoured some crab wraps, and enjoyed some Carib. We rented a Jeep Wrangler, which made exploring even more exciting. I’m surprised we didn’t break the dang thing while off-roading. We drove alllllllll over St. Thomas, which is where we stayed. We spent a lot of our time in Red Hook, the East side of the island. The bars and restaurants there were really fun. Definitely for a younger crowd. Renting a car was the way to go. We were constantly stumbling upon secret beaches and beachside bars! Magen’s Bay was my favorite. It was so beautiful and vast… it left me speechless. Not to mention the water all over the islands. I’ve never seen water so blue and so turquoise! God is pretty cool.

St. John was really beautiful as well. We took a barge over there with our car and explored the island all day. We also spent some time stalking Kenny Chesney’s mansion over on Cinnamon Bay… hehe. One of our favorite spots on St. John was Salt Pond Bay. The concentration was so strong, it was almost like the Dead Sea. I didn’t even have to swim, I just floated along the top! The snorkeling there was really awesome too. Before leaving St. John, we wanted to eat dinner at this delicious beachside restaurant we found. We finished up and then headed back to the barge. We swung in at 7:02pm and immediately heard someone yelling at us. One of the attendants ran up to our car and told us that we JUST missed the last ferry of the night. Yep. We were stranded on St. John. We tended to get stranded a lot on this trip… hahah

Luckily, the people ferry ran until midnight. We parked our car, hopped on the ferry, took a taxi home, and had to go and retrieve our car the next morning. NEVER DULL WITH US. And I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

Here are some pictures from our trip. Enjoy!! ♥
