I love new beginnings. The main reason why Monday is actually my favorite day of the week. A fresh start. A new opportunity to get things done or started. A lot of people can be afraid of change or new beginnings, but I truly welcome them with both arms wide open!
I will say, I understand why some people hate New Year’s resolutions. They seem very “surface-y” and a lot of people tend to fall off their resolution wagon by February. I do like to think about resolutions though and reflect on the past year… where I went wrong, where I went right, how I could’ve done something differently, what I accomplished the last year, what I want to accomplish this year… goal setting. It’s healthy. Have a plan. Strive to be better. I’m getting amped up just writing about it!
I was thinking about the last year and everything Sam and I accomplished and I can’t help but smile. I feel so blessed to have accomplished so much in my 22 years. This last year I began an online nutrition program through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Sam and I moved back home and he began his rotations at McClaren Oakland. We both have traveled a ton this year, seeing new places and meeting new people. Between lululemon, modeling, medical school, traveling, moving, getting new cars… it was a whirlwind of a year! Absolutely fantastic. Here are a few of my fav photos from the last year.
Sam and I have so much to look forward to in 2018. Sam will be in his LAST year of medical school (PTL!!!) and I will finish my nutrition program in June. We will move into an apartment, or a condo, or a house. We will travel LOTS, even if it is just 4 hours North (we ♥ TC). And just to continue to chase our goals both as a couple and individually.
Health and wellness will always be something that I strive to be better at, so I will be continuing that this year. I also will be focusing more on my blog and posting more content for you guys. Excited to share this year with you guys!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope each and everyone of you have a blessed year full of exciting things! 🙂
