Happy First Day of Autumn! Bring on the brisk air, cider & donuts, changing leaves… Fall is such a vibrant season. The tastiest recipes come in the Fall, too. This recipe is one you’re going to want to have weekly. Sam and I are finally getting into a routine that works for us. 6am workouts, 8am studying/eating, working from 10-6, and then dinner and more studying! It gets busy, so this one pan/skillet recipe is a life savor. Plus, easy clean-up. WINNING. Sam and I try to eat Whole 30-ish most of the time, so yes, this recipe is #Whole30Approved. I
Guys… IT’S HERE. Not officially, but the weather says otherwise. Fall weather is my faaaavorite season! Get ready for lots of Fall-ish recipes. Ah I’m just so happy. Okay, this bread. Probably one of my favorite things that I have made so far. Sam and I ate the whole loaf in 2 days. It is really yummy for breakfast with a hot cup of coffee and a little bit of almond butter on top 🙂 MMM! It is loaded with all of the flavors of Fall. It was also the perfect study snack! I brought some in to work to have
Fall is [kinda] here! My favorite season ever. The smells, the weather, the beauty. Everything about Fall is just perfect. I got home from my workout this morning and had leftover pumpkin from a recent recipe (coming soon) and couldn’t help but make pumpkin pie oatmeal. I never get sick of it! I added 2 egg whites for added protein, PLUS it makes the oatmeal super fluffy. You’re going to want to whip this up STAT.
The minute that this line came out, it inspired me. “Goal crusher.” It just pumps me up to crush my goals! I paired it with my “free spirit” bra, which brought even more inspiration. A gypsy princess crushing her goals. Yes. I have definitely been teeter tottering with my goals lately. I am normally very disciplined at keeping my “eyes on my prize”, but recently… I haven’t cared. It is a goal of mine to workout at least 4x a week, but that hasn’t been happening. It is my goal to not eat processed foods, but yesterday I was deep into
I’m sure you’ve seen these all over social media. Smoothie bowls are a foodie trend right now, but for good reason. They are delicious and you can hide lots of veggies in them without the bitter taste! Freeze some fresh fruit overnight, throw in a blender, blitz, and serve. Super easy, delicious, and chock full of vitamin, minerals, complex carbs, healthy fats, and protein. A macro counters dream. You can add whatever you would like, but this is the recipe I whipped up the other day. Smoothie: Frozen raspberries, 1/2 cup Frozen banana, 1/2 Handful of spinach Handful of
I am indifferent about being “trendy”. I guess it depends on what the trend is and if I like it – haha. Chokers and bodysuits are definitely back in trend and I wrestled with the idea of them. I love both, but I often associate the trend with a girl that… may not be the classiest? For lack of a better word. They aren’t always styled in a classic, elegant way. My mind changed when I grabbed coffee with Andrea and she was wearing the most chic outfit that included a choker. I love, love, loved the look! A look that screams
Gird your loins because this is about to be a lengthy post. So much has been happening (surprise, surprise) in the Howard household! Sam and I love to keep busy and we are really, really good at it. The past 3 weeks Sam and I have been in-between leases and therefore – homeless. Dun, dun, duuuunnnn! Thank goodness we have amazing friends who let us stay at their apartments and family on the weekends. We basically lived at Whole Foods for all three meals since we weren’t really able to cook. I now know every worker there by name and can
Top HERE // Pants HERE // Shoes HERE // Bag HERE // Watch HERE Photos by Andrea Kerbuski Hello, hello and happy hump daaayyyy! I can’t say that without picturing a camel in my head. That commercial is so stinking hilarious. I can’t believe that it is MID-JULY. Blowing my mind right now. Sam and I are moving out of our apartment this Friday and into a new condo! I am so excited for it. We will have so much more room (for activities – Step Brothers, anyone?), a finished basement, our own garage… Ah! It’ll just be so much better.
Hahahaha, I don’t even know where to begin with this post! Andrea and I went to Grand Rapids the other day because we are obsessed with all of their restaurants and coffee bars. And alcoholic bars. Anyways, after bouncing around town all day, we ended up at the Reserve for a glass of wine. Mistake #1. Have you ever seen that popular Facebook post that was circulating with the 4 pictures of people after drinking wine? First picture was before wine, second picture was after 1 glass, third picture was after 2 glasses, and fourth picture was after 3 glasses. I’m
Yes, yes, Coachella has already passed, but I am still dreaming of being there. This outfit randomly happened while playing in Andrea’s closet. I showed up at her house wearing this crop, these shorts, and these shoes, but wasn’t sure how I wanted to style it. I saw her kimono and the backpack and it all came together! I took a step away from my preppy style and bought this cute crochet crop top. I mean, it was $10. I thought it would be the perfect summer top! It has been 90 degrees and humid the past week in Michigan,
